<p>The generator has a parallel oscillating circuit converting a d.c. voltage into a.c. power. A load is connected or coupled to the oscillating circuit, and a switching transistor, a disconnectable thyristor or thyristor combination is inserted between the d.c. voltage source and the oscillating circuit. A relatively large inductance is connected in series to the switching component. Together with a diode it gives rectangular shape to the pulses generated by the switching component and applied to the oscillating circuit.
