Small range voltage measuring circuit - has stabiliser producing reference and difference amplifier and comparator output

A voltage measuring circuit which functions within a relatively small voltage range. It is used for measuring the voltage of individual battery cells which require periodic checks by measuring the specific gravity of the electrolyte. It consists of a voltage stabiliser circuit (4) which produces a reference voltage equal to the min. voltage to be measured. There is also a difference amplifier (9) which amplifies the difference between the voltage to be measured and the reference voltage. A reference voltage is generated in a unit (11) which can be increased in steps from a fixed value. There is also a unit (10) for comparing the difference voltage with the reference voltage.
