PURPOSE:To achieve the reduction in thickness of watch structure and easier exchanging of parts by constituting a solar battery unit separately from watch movement and disposing the unit in the recess formed on the watch movement. CONSTITUTION:A solar battery unit comprising mounting a plurality of solar batteries 5, a reverse-current preventing diode 10, a overcharge preventing resistance 11 to a solar battery circuit substrate 9 composed of glass-filled epoxy resin or the like by way of solder 9c is formed separately from watch movement. And the circuit substrate 9 of the solar battery unit is disposed in the space of the watch movement formed by recessing the periphery of a time display part 4, in such a manner that it becomes flush to the watch display part 4. It is then secured to the step part 1c of the case band part 1a of the watch case 1 by means of windshield glass 3 by way of packings 12. |
