1338618 Gasoline SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ NV 14 Nov 1972 [16 Nov 1971] 53132/71 Heading C5G A lead-free gasoline with a research octane no. of at least 90, an olefin and aromatic content of less than 30 vol. per cent and 30-55 vol. per cent respectively contains (a) 5-30 wt. per cent of an ether containing at least one branched chain, e.g. methyl-tert butyl ether and (b) 0À001-0À1 wt. per cent of an amine containing a monovalent hydrocarbon group with at least 30 carbon atoms and/or a salt thereof. The preferred amine is N,N-dimethyl-N1- polyisobutenyl propylenediamine and its salt may be an inorganic acid-, carboxylic acid- or phosphorus or sulphur oxy acid-salt.
