PURPOSE:To contrive to eliminate aged shearing strain from an elastic bearing body, to prevent breakage from occurring to the elastic bearing body and to realize equal dispersion of external force applied to bridge piers by installing, between the bridge piers and a bridge girder, bearing bodies of which upper end lower mounting faces are capable of making displacement in the longitudinal direction of the bridge girder. CONSTITUTION:Installation members 4 and 5 are fixed respectively to a bridge pier 2 and a bridge girder 3. An elastic bearing body 6 is fastened at its underside to the member 4 and, at the same time, the said bearing body 6 is fixed to the member 5 through a slider 12 that is fastened to the upper face of the bearing body 6, and the bearing body is made thereby displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the bridge girder. Then male screw members 13 are provided to the member 5 and the slider 12 is held from both sides by the screw members 13. When shearing strain develops to the bearing body 6 after the lapse of long period of time because of deformation caused by expansion by temperature variation, shrinkage by drying, creep shrinkage or the like, the bearing body is placed back to the neutral position by screwing or unscrewing the members 13. Thereby the bearing body structured in small thickness can disperse external force equally to each of the bridge piers without a fear of being broken. |
