Rotary piston IC engine - has rotor with recesses revolving in casing with pre-combustion chamber and tangential sparking plug

The engine has a cylindrical casing (TO) with circular end plates and a recess (T2) which forms a pre-combustion chamber. A hole is drilled through the casing to accommodate a sparking plug (T3). A rotor fixed to a shaft (T1) within the casing has four recesses (I, II, III, IV) cut in its circumference to form pockets. A charge of fuel and air is introduced into the pre-combustion chamber and compressed as the rotor revolves. The charge is picked up by the next rotor pocket passing the pre-combustion chamber and ignited as the pocket passes the sparking plug. The expansion produces a force on the base of the rotor pocket which causes the rotor to revolve.
