<p>The tunnel lining consists of arches or rings matching the shape of the tunnel, and made of cold formed steel sheet. Each sheet can be corrugated, with each corrugation (1) basically trapeze shaped. Each sloping side of each corrugation can be zig-zag shaped, with two sloping parts and a shoulder (2) between them, parallel to the tunnel axis. Each corrugation can be made of two trapeze shaped sheets (3), one facing the reverse direction to the other, with their extremities (4) connected by bolts (4), welding etc. These extremities are flanges, parallel to the tunnel for the shape of the corrugations include multi-flanged shapes, and shapes bolted together.</p> |
