The child's folding bed has a base which consists of two cruciform pieces each of which has four arms. Each arm is hinged to a fork with a horizontal axis forming part of one of the legs level with the base of the bed. Each arm is also hinged to a central piece consisting of a fork with horizontal axis forming part of the central leg. Each of the legs has a set of four small links hinged on horizontal axes to a slide piece and to a fork forming part of one of the arms of the cruciform pieces. Each of the cross pieces joining the legs can be locked in position by means of a sliding strut.
