The translucent cellular panels are transversely joined by a system of interlocking hooked tenons. The panels comprise two parallel extruded and interspaced translucent sheets (1) with intermittent perpendicular cross walls (2). The hook formations (5) are appended to the lateral edges of each panel, and provide positive mechanical interlock in the longitudinal and transverse planes. Reciprocal identical hook formations (5, 5a) are provided on the opposed longitudinal edges of each panel, and the heads of each hook lodge in the hollow (6) formed by the counter part hook. Each hook form may comprise a root arm (4) which is a linear extension of a panel edge. The head returns at right angles from the root arm and includes a step (7) enlargement of its leading face. The terminal cross wall (3) of the panel is stepped (8) to reciprocate the head form.
