<p>The ear lobe perforator has two arms (210, 212) joined by a curved piece (214). A cylinder (224) is joined to the top (216) of one arm (210) and is preferably partly transparent. A tension pin (242) forms one piece with the top (218) of the other arm (212). The inside surface of the cylinder (224) has a boss (225) which is preferably in the form of an elongated projection with tapered ends (226). A piston (230) has one enlarged head, and the other end a plunger (232) which pushes against the head of the pin inside the cylinder. The piston (230) has radial flanges or collar (233m234). The tension piece (242) incorporates a number of fingers, the sides of which have rectangular slits in to take a nut. A wider hole (247) in the bottom of the slit (245) extends the width of the tension piece (242).</p> |
