<p>1503525 Physical training apparatus A P J OURGANT 8 May 1975 [29 July 1974] 19474/75 Heading A6M A physical training apparatus comprises a vertical column 1 on which there is adjustably mounted an upper sleeve 5 and a lower sleeve 10, sleeve 5 supports a hanger 7 whilst sleeve 10 supports a swing-bar 20 by an axle 15, a brake acts between the axle and sleeve 10 to control rotation of the swing-bar. The brake consists of flanges 16, 17 rotationally rigid with axle 15 and friction pads compressed by nut 18. Handle grips 24 are provided and resilient elements 30, 31 can be located between half-rings 8, 21, 22 and 23. The column can be split into three parts 1a, 1b, 1c and it has an adjustable foot 4 so that it can be mounted between the ceiling and the floor.</p> |
