<p>The joint is intended for the construction of large decorative structures, which must be assembled on site and may be modified in design during their period of use. Up to six orthogonal solid cylinders (4) form a connecting element (2), each terminating at its free end in a truncated conical plug (38, 39). Inside each end of each tubular structural element which just fits over a cylinder, is lodged a fitting (31), one end of which is a snap fit on the plug end of the cylinder. The other end has a series of grooves (33) which elastically deform when inserted in the tube and hold the fitting firmly in place. In use, the tubular elements are simply plugged on and unplugged from the connecting elements, as required.</p> |
