The cleaning machine is for unburnt ceramic blanks, having cleaning tools working with rotary plates. It comprises a rotary table (6) equipped with rotary plates individually adjustable for speed and direction of rotation and with connections to a vacuum source. Between the loading (I) and discharge (VII) stations for the table are a number of different cleaning tools (8,9,10) at intervening stations (II-VI). The loading station can be supplied by a conveyor (2) with one or more parallel tracks (15) for the blanks (1) and a transfer mechanism, the plates on the table being divided into groups corresponding to the number of tracks. An indexing table drive is provided.
