The equalising system for a pair of hydraulic cylinders can be used where the two piston rods (12.3, 12.4) are connected to opposite ends of a member (10) to be raised and lowered. As one piston is moved to its outermost position in its cylinder (12.1), the other one is moved to the innermost position inside the other cylinder (12.2). A system control valve (16) has two lines (14,15) conveying hydraulic fluid in opposite directions, so that the first line (14) supplies fluid under pressure to move the first piston outwards, and the second line carries fluid discharged from the second cylinder as its piston moves inwards. Another design connects the two cylinders with pistons acting in the same direction.
|
