Room temp vulcanisable (RTV)organopolysiloxane compsn contains 100 (wt)pts organopolysiloxane (I) with alkenyloxy gps of the formula R(3-a)-SiA(a)-O-(Si(R)2-O)m-(SiA(b)R(2-b)-O)n-SiA(a)-R(3-a) (in which R is (substd)monovalent hydrocarbyl. A is an alkenyloxy gp a is 1,2 or 3. b is 0,1 or 2. m and n are positive integers and n can also be O. There are at least 3 A gps/mol) and 0.01-15 pts vulcanisation accelerator (II). The compsn. cures on exposure to air and forms a high grade prod without releasing undesirable or harmful by-prods. It can be produced relatively cheaply and gives coatings which adhere well to various surfaces, esp metals.
