1503748 Humidifier CARBA Ltd 18 April 1975 [19 April 1974] 16139/75 Heading A5T A humidifier comprises a water container 1. a gas supply duct 6 and a mist producing element 8 at the end of the supply duct whereby water is drawn up to be mixed with the gas before it is discharged via expansion duct 21 and outlet 9. The mist producing element 8 comprises a central core 10 having two axial, blind bores each of which communicates with a respective lateral bore that leads to a longitudinal peripheral core groove. The cross-sectional area of the groove can be varied by adjustment of a screw 18 that bears upon an elastic jacket 14 surrounding core whereby the gas flow rate and suction developed on the water can be controlled. A sleeve 15 is secured to core by screw 16 and supports screw 16. |
