PURPOSE:To eliminate a need of a private diagnostic hardware to gather trouble information by fixing the trouble information signal from a serial interface for a certain time at the time of the occurrence of trouble in a transmission equipment to send information indicating the trouble state. CONSTITUTION:Transmission data is generated by a transmission circuit 200 and is converted to serial data by a parallel-serial converting circuit 220 and is sent to a serial interface 30 through an OR circuit 230 and a driver 210. Data sent to the interface 30 is received by a receiver 110 of a reception equipment 10 and is reverse converted to parallel data by a serial-parallel converting circuit 120 and is stored in a reception buffer 130 and is transferred to a reception circuit 100. If trouble occurs in the circuit 200, it is detected by a trouble detecting circuit 250, and a signal in level '1' indicating the trouble state is sent to the interface 30 through circuits 230 and 210 for a certain time, and a stack detecting circuit 140 of the equipment 10 is used to stop the operation of the buffer 130, and it is cleared to prepare for next trouble information. |
