The knife is mounted on a support-plate 32 provided with bearing sleeves 34 which slide on rods 36 secured to the clamping plate 16. The plate 16 is mounted on a pivot 18 and moved from the position shown in Fig. 1 to a clamping position, Fig. 2 (not shown) by a pneumatic ram 22.
