发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER INK FILM
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of recording image by a method wherein solid fine particles with a particle diameter remarkably smaller than the coating thickness of a colorant are contained in an ink layer, and the solid fine particles are densely arranged on the surface of the ink layer. CONSTITUTION:An ink film 1 can be obtained by a method wherein a solution in which solid fine particles 5 are dispersed and mixed in a solution of a colorant 4 (dye and binder) in a solvent is applied on a substrate film 2 and dried at an appropriate temperature to form an ink layer 3, in which the volatilization of the solvent results in only the colorant 4 being contracted on the side of the substrate film 2 and the solid fine particles 5 are densely arranged on the surface. The ink layer 3 is 10mum or less in thickness, and the solid fine particles 5 are 1mum or less in particle diameter. A recording is conducted by bringing the ink film 1 into pressure contact wlth image receiving paper 6 under heat. At this time, because the solid fine particles 5 contained in the colorant 4 are densely arranged on the surface of the ink layer 3, the colorant 4 and an image receiving layer 8 are not in direct contact with each other, thus never fusing or sticking with each other by heat. In addition, if the ink film 1 and the image receiving paper 6 differ in feed speed, a failure in feeding never occurs.
