Cutting device for stalk-and heat material which can be fitted to agricultural implements or vehicles, especially loading carts, where there is a number of fixed cutting, blades, transposed with respect to each other and arranged in one or more rows above each other. These blades pass through a feed channel towards the opposite wall, which consists of parallel basket rods running in the feed direction. The blades act with feed elements for heat- and stalk material which engage in the feed channel between these rods. Spec. the basket-side ends (9) at the cutting blades (7) are freely arranged and extend into spaces free from the feed elements between or at parallel basket rods (10, 11) of the opposite wall (5).
