The phase switching of the inductor in the linear motor drive is determined by the deviation of the actual speed from the set value. The signals derived from the contactless feelers are fed to a digital logic system which drives the switching elements. The train is formed with vehicles which are carried by bogies on track the underside of the vehicles featuring the secondary of the linear motor drive. The secondaries are inductively coupled to inductor windings buried under the track and distributed to ensure the required speed profile.
