<p>Soil spike for erecting and mounting support column or other above-ground structure has a pointed rod-like core (1) which is driven into the ground and has arranged about its circumference at equally spaced angular intervals, at least two lance vanes (2) on whose shoulders (4) rest a horizontal support plate (3) at ground level. The support plate is permanently or releasably attached to the vanes. A vertically extending projection (6) to the core carries an enlarged head (7) which is struck to drive the spike into the ground. The support plate has the column (11) attached to it by bolts (9, 12).</p> |
