The printing machine has sheet transfers cylinders controlled to ensure precise registration and guidance at high operational speeds. There are two interacting sheet holder systems which are positioned on cam-controlled, spring loaded swivelling shafts. Each transmission for driving the associated shaft has a cam. Compression springs running parallel to the swivel shaft in the sheet transfer cylinder are positioned on the swivel shaft by a flexible coupling. The point of engagement of the spring force on the shaft lies outside the max. format width. The transmission for the shaft comprises cam gearing.
