<p>Variable system provides composite wood sections of any sort for building up door, window or panel frames etc., which may be load-bearing. The profiles consist of a core which, depending on the application and strength requirements, can be in solid or re-constituted wood which is inexpensive and easily machined, and facing strips which have a better appearance. The profiled components are suitably grooved to permit simple assembly. The cross-sectional area of the cores can be such that the core makes up as much as 50% of the total material used in the assembled profile.</p> |
