<p>The drilling and stamping track for a beam section has several horizontal support rollers rotatably mounted in a machine bed, a pair of vertical advancing rollers (6, 7) and a pair of vertical pressure rollers (8, 9) with each pair on opposite sides of the beam's track. A sensing and control unit (27, 28, 29) detects the incoming beam section and first brings the leading pressure and gauging roller (8) into operation and then the rear one (9). The vertical tool axis is located in the longitudinal centre between the front and rear advancing - and pressure-roller pairs in relation to the direction of movement of the beam. The unit ensures that the beam is accurately positioned for working.</p> |
