Doctor blade clamp for use on a rotary photogravure printing maching has two clamping rails operated so as to facilitate changing the blade (3) without the use of any kind of tool. The upper clamping rail (10) is attached to the tops of piston rods (12) whose pistons sit in hydraulic power cylinders (11) positioned in the doctor blade carrier (4). The lower rail (8) is screwed to the carrier. The position of the lower clamping rail can be regulated using adjusting screws (13) which can also be used to vary partially the pressure of the doctor blade (3) itself. The hydraulic cylinders are fed by pressure lines (14, 15) of which one (14) raises the upper clamping rail and the other (15) lowers it.
