Harvest loading conveyor protection system - has inductive initiators at discharge end detecting proximity of metal components

The loading conveyor protection system is particularly for use when transferring a crop to a trailer traveling alongside a harvesting machine, the conveyor being lifted hydraulically on approaching an obstruction under control of a feeler. Inductive initiators (4) are mounted at the discharge end of the conveyor (1), emitting signals on approaching metallic components of the trailer (5). These actuate a circuit controlling the conveyor lifting mechanism. The initiators can be mounted by springs (3) on the conveyor. This protects the conveyor against damage caused by striking the trailer, also warning before encountering the apex of the load in it.
