PURPOSE: To enable the development of an electrostatic charge image contg. a colorless electric charge controlling agent not interfering with the colorant of a toner material by using a specified compd. or polymer as a colorless compd. CONSTITUTION: A compd. represented by formula I, a polymer consisting essentially of repeating units represented by formula II or one of their amine salts or quat. ammonium derivs. is used as a colorless compd. In the formulae I, II, each of R<1> -R<4> is a 1-6C alkyl, R<5> is H or a 1-5C alkyl, R<6> is H, a 3-12C alkenyl, etc., (m) is 1-4, in the case of m=1, R<7> is, an acyl, etc., in the case of m=2, R<7> is carbonyl, etc., in the case of m=3, R<7> is a triacyl, etc., in the case of m=4, R<7> is a tetracyl, etc., R<8> is H, an aralkyl, etc., each of A and B is a 2-12C alkylene, etc., and (n) is 2-200. The development of an electrostatic charge image contg. a colorless transparent electric charge controlling agent not interfering with the colorant of a toner material is enabled. |
