Two artificial head stereo microphone pairs (1, 2) are set up separately from one another either in approximately the same plane at a distance from one another or virtually adjacent to one another or above one another. The recorded signals of the left-hand microphones (3, 5) of both pairs (1, 2) and the recorded signals of the right-hand microphones (4, 6) of both pairs (1, 2) are in each case fed to a mixing circuit (7 or 8) for the left-hand or right-hand channel. Through the use of two artificial head stereo microphone pairs (1 and 2), the creation of a gap is avoided in the reproduction of the recorded signals during the transmission, i.e. the sound does not suddenly jump from one loudspeaker to the other if, for example, a sound source moves from left to right or vice versa in front of the microphones (3, 4, 5, 6). <IMAGE>
