PURPOSE:To prepare a steel plate coating compsn. excellent in the applicability, gloss, stain resistance, boiling water resistance, dispersibility, and hardness by compounding a polyester derived from a specific glycol and an alkyl- etherified formaldehyde resin. CONSTITUTION:A polyester derived from at least one glycol selected from the group consisting of 2-butyl-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol and 2,2-diethyl-1,3- propanediol and an alkyl-etherified formaldehyde resin (e.g. methoxylated methylolurea, methoxylated methylolmelamine) are compounded to give a steel plate coating compsn. excellent in the applicability, gloss, stain resistance, boiling water resistance, dispersibility, and hardness. |
