<p>A vehicle headlamp has a glass at the front made up of vertical strips (21, 22) at the top ends and curved strips (27) at one bottom end. The remainder consists diagonal strips (29) at (28) just above, and another assembly near the middle. The latter assembly has a set of vertical strips (23) next to diagonal strips (25) below two sets of curved strips (24a, b) which slope in opposite directions. this arrangement gives a dumb bell shaped beam instead of the conventional narrow cigar shaped beam, giving improved illumination of objects at the sides, ahead of the vehicle.</p> |
