<p>The drilling-template centres and aligns a drill bit when forming holes in the edge of a panel or board. It is stepped to correspond to a range of commercially available panel thickness. The template has a U-section whose web (4) may be riveted to a larger rectangular support plate (1). An external angle of the 'U' coincides with a long edge (6) of the support-plate (1). The drill-bit is aligned by concentric holes (8c) in each leg (2, 3) of the 'U' section, and the leg plates may be stepped (7a to 7c) with a hole (8a to 8c) centred in each zone of a particular width. The free edges of the support plate and the adjacent leg of the 'U' section may inc. 'V' notches (9, 11) for template positioning purposes.</p> |
