The handle to head connection may be used on a yard broom and permits adjustment of the inclination of the handle relative to the head. The connection comprises a lockable hinge with a bolt (5) forming an axle (52) uniting a tapered handle-end-socket (1) to a head-plate (2) and the socket (1), and locking is effected by the bolt acting with grooved cantilever-interfaces (4',3'). The cantilevers (4,3) may each incorporate a ring with the axes respectively parallel and normal to the head plate (1). The long axis of the socket, and the abutting ring-faces may include radial 'V' grooves. The ring (4) may have a square axial hole which engages a bolt shoulder (5') to lock it against rotation.
|
