The lighweight constructional material has a trellis or struts. Two flat plates are blanked to form repeated patterns. Each pattern remains fixed to its plate via one edge, along which the pattern is bent to form a web or strut. The two plates are than aligned parallel to each other, so the projecting webs or struts mate with each other to form a corrugated unit. Reinforcing ribs may be pressed in the plates in regions not contg. the bent patterns, which are pref. symmetrical w.r.t. each other and arranged in rows. The bent patterns pref. have a shape which is triangular; trapezoidal; square; semicircular; or posses a "V" -section. |
