Self braking double furniture castor - has plastic moulded joint to press brake bar under wheel rim when castor is laden

The double castor is fitted to a moulded central support via a simple axle stub pressed through the moulding. The moulding is extended inside the hollow castors to carry a crossbar (11) set under the inside rims of the wheels to act as a brake when the castor is unladen. When weight is put on the castor the plastic moulding is deformed slightly to release the brake bar. The brake is unaffected by any grease etc. picked up by the running surface of the castors.
