The title compds. [I; R1 = lower alkyl; R2 = H; R3 = H or lower alkyl; x = lower alkyl , useful in the control of graminaceous weeds in soja crops, were prepd. by the reaction of II and III. Thus, 5.4 g 4-chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzofluoride (0.02 mol) melted in C6H6 was reacted with 2.4g N-methyl-N-2,2-dimethoxyethylamine (0.02 mol) and triethylamine (2.02 mol) to give N-methyl-N-(2,2-dimethoxyethyl)-2,6- dinitro-4-trifluoromethylaniline. (I) may be used in association with other active compds., e.g. synergistic herbicides, insecticides, nematocides, fungicides, etc.
