<p>Microscope can be used for bright-field, dark-field and high-resolution work with only simple adjustment required to change from one to the other. A ring-shaped diaphragm (3) is located at the front focal point of the condenser (4) and a ring-shaped mask (7) is located at the position, of the diaphragm image produced by the objective (6). The optical system is designed so that the light passing through the diaphragm is retracted by the condenser and then passes through the edge zones of the objective. Both the diaphragm and the mask can be removed to enable bright-or-dark-field work to be carried out.</p> |
