The stereo sound reproduction system consists of a line of loudspeakers extending across the width of the room directly in front of the listener and at ear height. The signals in the two sound channels are divided to supply left and right loudspeakers such that the lowest octave is at the centre and the highest at the remote ends of the line of speakers. The low level signals per stereo channel are already divided into octaves with >= 12 dB/octave and they are controllable separately over a range of o6 dB using output amplifiers.
