Safety ski binding with a housing swiveling upwards around a transverse axis whilst overcoming a stop force. Two sole holders capable of being swiveled out sideways on axes standing vertically on the housing base which work together with the spring loaded yoke in such a way that they are swivelled into a ski boot holding position are linked to the housing. The sole holders swivel outwards against spring tension when any excess side forces arise, with the yoke spring also producing the spring tension for the height release, for which at least one further stop lever (11) is provided which swivels round the axis (12) standing vertically on the housing base and which works together with a facing (15) extending largely vertically to the ski (20) and is held in contact with the facing by the same spring as the yoke (16).
