<p>Strand and/or cable band comprises a plastic sheath in the form of a solid extruded band in which the individual strands or cables are embedded separately from each other, pref. lying in one plane in a flat platic band. Between the individual strands or cables, the plastic sheath may comprise perforations or teeth. The band is completely twist-resistant and therefore suitable for e.g., cranes and trolleys. With the strands or cables in the same plane, loads can be lifted completely without twisting, thus eliminating the dangers of rotating elongate sections. Also, the band is easy to wind up, and has inherent rigidity allowing it to be used for transmission purposes to a certain extent.</p> |
