The branch junction for an h.f line permits the feed-in and take-off of an h.f current a supply current, with a capacity in the HF line and an inductance in the supply line and a blocking capacitor between the inductance and earth, with an additional resistance in series with the blocking capacitor. The arrangement is useful with long transmission lines incorporating amplifiers, to feed the supply currents for these amplifiers through the single HF/DC line. The presence of the resistance results in a considerable attenuation of any resonances or hum pick-up on the line. The effect may be enhanced by providing an additional inductance in series with the resistance.
|
