Continuous molding of objects, such as fasteners with filament-like portions (24), using a rotatable molding wheel with peripheral orifices. Plastic is extruded through a manifold (36) upon the periphery of the wheel (40), and a knife assembly (42) in eliptical contact with the wheel is used to skive film from the molded objects. Then selected portions of the objects can be stretched (47), by using diverging sprocket wheels (220). |
