1502699 Multi-spindle lathes INDEXWERKE KG HAHN & TESSKY 5 April 1976 [22 April 1975] 13705/76 Heading B3T In an automatic multi-spindle lathe having a rotary indexable spindle drum 12 carrying a plurality of rotary work spindles 14 a plurality of cross slides 18 are provided at least equal in number to the number of spindles and are mounted in units 16 on the spindle drum housing 10, the cross-slides carrying cutting tools 28 and are movable radially with repect to the work spindles. The cross-slides 18 are mounted in their respective units 16 which are displaceable parallel to the work spindle axes. Additional cross-slides may be incorporated whereby a work spindle can be indexed to co-operate with two cross-slides at one work station. |
