It comprises a holder (2) placed on the vessel (3), and equipped with a float (4, 5, 6). The filter holder can be accommodated (10) on the float, which can be in the form of a vessel. The float can be coupled to a measuring cup, and an indicator (7, 8, 9) can be provided for the float level. The design affords a simple means of measuring the correct amount of coffee for a given amount of water.
