Process for producing a flame- and smoke-retarded, non-shrinkable, flexible polyurethane foam

A flame- and smoke-retarded, non-shrinkable flexible polyurethane foam is prepared by reacting A. a polyol having at least two active hydrogen atoms and a molecular weight of from 1,000 to 10,000, B. a low molecular weight polyhydroxyl compound having a molecular weight of from 60 to 700, C. a polyisocyanate and D. an ammonium compound which generates ammonia gas at a temperature below 100 DEG C, wherein the equivalent weight ratio of (B) to (A) is ranging from 0.5 to 2.0 and the amount of (D) based upon 100 parts by (A) ranges from 0.5 to 10 parts by weight.
