ASPHALT SHEET COMPOSED OF BULKY NONWOVEN CLOTH

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled sheet capable of following the crack of substrate, by impregnating asphalt in a composite material produced by the needle- punching of an ordinary nonwoven cloth made of polyester filament and a nonwoven cloth produced by changing the traversing angle of said polyester filament by 90 deg.. CONSTITUTION:An asphalt sheet composed of a bulky nonwoven cloth can be produced by impregnating asphalt in a composite material produced by laminating (A) a nonwoven cloth made of polyester filaments and produced by conventional process and (B) a nonwoven cloth having transversally oriented filaments and produced by changing the traversing angle of the filament by 90 deg. in 2 or 3 layers and integrating the laminated sheets by needle-punching. The water-proofing sheet produced thereby can follow the crack of a water- proofing substrate, is resistant to fatigue and deterioration of the sheet and exhibits excellent effect.
