A solid state micropolargraphic cell comprises a pair of electrodes (m1) and (m2) across which a variable current bias is applied from a source (S) under control of a variable element (M). One of the electrodes comprises a thin metal coating set in a semiconductor zone of a first type, N or P, of conductivity. This zone is diffused into substrate of semiconductor material having opposite type conductivity. The other electrode comprises a second metallic zone isolated from the first zone by a dielectric. The various elements of the cell constitute collector, base, and emitter of a transistor.
|
