An inhibitor for a rocket propellant charge of the face burner type with slow burn-up, esp. for gas generators, comprises a layer of one or more windings around the charge, consisting of ceramic fibres and bonded together and also to the charge by means of an inhibiting, two-component adhesive. Pref. each winding is 0.2-2 (0.5) mm thick. Used for solid charges for the missile guidance. The arrangement provides a stable material, insensitive to thermal shocks and possessing a long life at high temps. and compatibility with the charge material.
