<p>The coaxial high frequency line closing resistor consists of a resistance element and a cooling member. Between the two is provided an electrically insulated and thermally conductive intermediate layer, pref. of a metal oxide ceramic powder. Typically aluminium oxide powder is used for this purpose. The design reduces the disadvantages encountered with a liquid insulant, such as oil. The cooling element forms simultaneously the outer coaxial conductor, in which is secured a layered resistor.</p> |
