<p>A heater for a false twisting device includes a heater plate surrounded by insulation and a feed duct sepd. from the heater plate by a channel. Yarn is threaded up through a yarn guide at one end of the feed duct and then passes through the feed duct to a second guide at the other end. Once the false twisting device is up to operating speed, the guides move the yarn along the channel and into contact with the heater plate. Plastic yarns, e.g. polyester can be easily threaded up without the risk of becoming fused to the heater plate before the device is up to operating speed.</p> |
